Lo siento todos. He estado perezoso. Tengo cuentos de casi tres semanas. Y por favor me cree, hay bastante cuentos. Por eso voy a publicar muchos diferentes blogs. Este es la primera. En este tenemos el cuento de Los ultimos dias con yanapay, incluyendo una feria de arte.

Por dos semanas trabajamos con nuestros niños con la pregunta "como podemos mejorar cusco." esta pregunta es el ejemplo perfecto por que me encanta yanapay: siempre no estamos satisfecho enseñando matematicas o lenguas. Nosotros intentar a enseñar valores importante. Cada semana ensenyamos que violencia no es el solucion a nada, que "amor por todo el mundo" significa creando igualidad entre todos. Amor es dando de lo que tenemos. Enseñamos que cada persona tiene el derecho hablar y ser escuchado, cada persona tiene el derecho Tener una vida sin violencia, el derecho de respecto, de su propio opiniones, y que sus acciones son suyos y por eso hay que contestar a violencia y mal acciones con amor. Enseñamos que hay que tener respecto por los derechos de las demas. Y por fin enseñamos que cada persona tiene el poder a cambiar su familia, su communidad, su ciudad, y su mundo. Nadie es demasiado pequeno, cada persona tiene un voz.
Tuvimos la feria de arte por dos razones. Primero, queremos proveer un oportunidad por los ninos a demonstrar su poder, a practicar su poder de cambio. El segundo era promocionar la casa cultural. Creo que ya he hablado sobre la casa cultural, pero ustedes que me conocen saben que no tengo una memoria muy bueno, y entonces voy a explicar un poco sobre la casa. Yanapay tiene ideales que son buenos enseñar a los ninos pero tambian a los adultos. La casa cultural es una expansion del programa para enseñar los valores a Los padres y adultos de cusco. Yo enseñé ingles, bailar, y los talleres de salud que estoy seguro que ya escribi sobre. Acabamos de reempezar la casa, y entonces tuvimos que publicarla para tener nuevos alumnos.
Habia dos partes de la feria. Durante desde 10 hasta 8 en total, pero desde 10 hasta 4 solo era los presentaciones de la respuestas a la pregunta "como podemos mejorar cusco?" Cada familia tuve una diferente respuesta y diferente proyectos para hacerlo. El segundo parte fue presentaciones de los talleres de la casa cultural. Yo hice un coreografia de baile, habia teatro, cantantes y percusion.
Miguel y yo eramos Los profesores de la familia quilla. Nuestro contesta era que podemos mejorar cusco con un cultura de biciclismo. Para montar bicicletas en cusco es dificil por los calles estrechos y inclinados. Pero, cuando nosotros preguntamos los ninos "que son los problemas mas grandes en cusco," cada uno dijo que el contaminacion del medioambiente es el problem mas grave. Cuando pedimos soluciones, su idea era bicicletas. Entonces, hicimos un grand poster con razones que montando bicis es mejor. Tambien, nosotros grabamos entrevistas de los ninos y hicimos un video. Ellos escribieron las preguntas y respuestas y por eso creimos que ellos creian en la causa de la proteccion del medioambiente - sus preguntas y respuestas eran sus proprios. Eran sus ideas. Despues, Miguel y yo escribimos un peticion al gibierno para pedir infrastraecture para las bicicletas en cusco. Cada niño lo traio a su familia y amigos para pedir firmas. Despues los dos dias de la feria tuvimos mas de 200 firmas y todavia el director de yanapay va a enviarlos al gubierno. Con este ejercisio pudimos demonstrar que cada persona puede afectar su situacion, que cada persona tiene poder y un voz. Y por fin, yo enseñe como arreglar un bici. En los dos dias de feria yo cambie la llanta casi 50 veces, y ahora mis ninos puede ensenyar sus amigos y por fin arreglar sus proprias llantas (tuve esta idea cuando ellos me dijieron que muchos de ellos ya tienen un bici pero nadie pude montarlos porque tienen llantas disinfladas y nadie sabe como arreglarlas.
Por los presentaciones de baile yo tenia 1 semana para enseñar 5 tipos de baile y la coreografia. Tenia que enseñar en ingles y español. Era in grande exito! Estoy tan orgulloso de mis alumnos. Todos aprendieron como baile la waltz, polka, foxtrot, huayno, y charelston.
Este blog ya esta bien largo, entonces voy a terminar con cuentos cortos.
Despues la feria el viernes tuvimos nuestro bufet. Usualmente vamos a bailar despues, pero este viernes habia lluvia muy fuerte. Entonces todos de los volutarios sentaronse por las gradas y cantamos canciones de navidad. Esta noche es una de mi memorias favoritas de yanapay.
Con el teatro del grupo de Arequipa yo era un extra. Nadie me dijo esto, pero mi character no tenia un camisa. Por eso todos de los volutarios me han visto sin camisa. La pena es no he estado haciendo pushups ni crunches para preparar. :)

Sorry all. I've been lazy. I have stories of nearly three weeks. And please believe me, there are enough stories. So I will post many different blogs. This is the first. Here we have the story of the last days with Yanapay, including an art fair.

For two weeks we worked with our children with the question "how can we improve cusco." This question is a perfect example why I love Yanapay: we always are not happy to teach mathematics or languages. We try to teach important values. Each week ensenyamos that violence is not the solution to anything, that "love everybody" means creating fairness among all. Love is giving of what we have. We teach that each person has the right to speak and be heard, every person has the right to have a life without violence, the right to respect for their own opinions, and that their actions are yours and so you have to answer to violence and evil actions with love. We teach that we must have respect for the rights of others. And finally teach that every person has the power to change your family, your community, your city, and your world. No one is too small, every person has a voice.
We had art fair for two reasons. First, we want to provide an opportunity for children to demonstrate their power, to practice their power to change. The second was to promote cultural house. I think I've talked about the cultural house, but you who know me know that I dont have a very good memory, and therefore I will explain a little about the house. Yanapay has ideals that are good for teaching to children but also to adults. The cultural center is an expansion of the program to teach values to parents and adults cusco. I taught English, dance, and health workshops which I'm sure I wrote about. We just started back the house, and then we had to publish it to have new students.
There were two parts of the show. During 10 to 8 in total, but only from 10-4 was the presentation of answers to the question "how can we improve cusco?" Each family had a different response and different projects to do. The second part was workshop presentations of the cultural house. I did a dance choreography, we had drama, singing and percussion.
Miguel and I were teachers of the family quilla. Our answer was that we can improve a cusco with a bicycle culture. To ride bikes in Cusco is difficult for the narrow streets and slopinghills. But when we asked the children "what are the biggest problems in cusco," everyone said the environmental pollution is the most serious problem. When we asked for solutions, their idea was bicycles. So we made a grand poster with reasons riding bikes is better. Also, we recorded interviews of children and made a video. They wrote the questions and answers and so we thought they believed in the cause of environmental protection - questions and answers were their own. They were his ideas. Later, Michael and I wrote a petition to ask the gibierno infrastraecture cusco for bikes. Each child traio what your family and friends to ask for signatures. After two days of the fair had over 200 signatures and still Yanapay director gubierno you are mailing. With this excercise we demonstrate that every person can affect your situation, each person has power and a voice. And finally, I taught how to fix a bike. In the two-day fair I changed the tire almost 50 times, and now my children can teach friends and finally settle their own tires (I had this idea when I was told by them that many of them already have a bike but no one could mount because tires have uninflated and nobody knows how to fix.
For the dance performances I had one week to teach 5 types of dance and choreography. I had to teach in English and Spanish. It was in great success! I'm so proud of my students. Everyone learned how to dance the waltz, polka, foxtrot, huayno and Charelston.
This post is already rather long, so I'll end with short stories.
After the show on Friday we had our buffet. We usually go to dance after, but on Friday there was heavy rain. Then all of voluntarios sat down by the stairs and sang Christmas songs. Tonight is one of my favorite memories of Yanapay.
With the theater group from Arequipa I was extra. Nobody told me this, but my character did not have a shirt. So all of volutarios have seen me shirtless. The penalty is that i had not been doing pushups and crunches to prepare. :)
The next day Michael and I left for choquequirao, and this is the story for the next blog.
