Things that went wrong today:
All my clothing smells like peanut butter
My peanut butter sandwiches all got smushed
The drug dog at the airport in Lima likes peanut butter
My pee has never been so yellow: spirit airlines has no free drinks and does not accept cash, FYI.
I ALMOST got to be bumped off my flight. I would have gotten 2 free round trip tickets and a hotel stay. Apparently all the extra people didn't show. Man how I wish folks had follow through.
Things that went right today:
At my hostel
Free breaky tomorrow
Did not get mugged
No one offered me free sex in exchange for getting mugged
Beach day tomorrow
I start spanish school on Tuesday. Its a good day.

ReplyDeleteSmelling like peanut butter for a short time is okay - all day is too much. When I was a counselor at a camp (many years ago) the game was to cover my face with peanut butter and then to see if they could (using a straw) propel mini marshmallows and stick them to my face. It was hilarious. Until I realized, its like over 100 degrees out and the only soap I had access to was that granular pink stuff... not the best day for my face. But a good memory. I am so glad to have found your blog - somehow I was under the impression that it was all in spanish so I thought I would not be able to read whatever you were writing! Yeah, you did both spanish & english :)
